Void

The devouring nothingness, the emptiness which exists outside of all things, and more and more in the hearts of Men as well. After the Last Days, when the world was shattered, there came Void, filling all the hollows where the death of the Titans had allowed the world to change. Much was destroyed, much lost, when the Titans fell, and much of that was lost to the Void, which came from outside and consumed everything it touched. We hold it off now with strong earth and swift air, with patient water and startling fire, though it consumes them as much as anything else, and only the power we can harvest from the Titanic corpses holds the line. Void is emptiness, is nothingness, is the absence of things consumed, destroyed and lost. And Void is now seeping into Men, those who despair of life, those who slip too close to the edges of things, those who are hollowed by all that has happened to us. Some of the Voidbound said that it, Void, is just as real as the other elements, that what we perceive as nothingness is so much more than we can imagine. And yet, they are evil, the Voidbound, murderous and heartless, and if this is somehow brought about by something massive that normal Men cannot percieve, then let us have no part of it. Void must be held back, must be fought off, until we can find a place away from it once more. The Voidbound must be found and defeated, when they hide as many of them do. We will triumph over them.

Except…there is talk of Void Angels. And there is talk, whispered talk, of the birth of a Void God. May it be only talk. The Gods we have are bad enough. The Void we guess at is bad enough. Anything more would, perhaps, at last overwhelm us. So let it be only rumor, only a story the Voidbound tell themselves in their madness. Let it be.
