The primordial beings who possibly created the world. Never much involved in activities which Men could comprehend, the Titans were seldom seen and even more seldom interacted with. Little is known of them, save that they were associated with the Four Elements in some fashion, that there were at least 4 but not more than 16 of them, and that they, at some distant time in the past, created the Gods, as later the Gods would create the First Men. Ancient and ageless, nothing seemed to affect the Titans, until in the Last Days the 400 Gods rose against them, and overthrew the rule of their creators within 9 days. The Shattering of the world followed almost immediately, though whether as a result of the devestating fighting, or due to the deaths of the Titans, no Man, and perhaps no God, knows. In the Void that followed the Shattering, only the remains of the Titans provided stability; even dead, the raw power of creation flows from them, and clever Men have been able to harness this power and produce the Four Elements, keeping some remnant of the world alive. Horrors grow from the remains as well, though, the last thought patterns of the Titans, perhaps, in their war, or impulses taken from the terrified Men who huddle near the remains, or something else, something that cannot be guessed by the small minds of Men.
